We finally got to experience our HiHy in the snow, taking it up for a few hours of skiing over the weekend. It must have snowed at least 6 inches of the wet slipppy snow while we were parked, and it was uneventful getting out of the parking lots, side roads or driving on the interstate ahead of the plows. Having a set Michelin X-Ice on all corners helped as well.

The only problem was with the wipers. Toyota must have spec'd a wimpy wiper motor. When the wet snow built up on the windshield, the wipers would just stop working. We had to pull over to clean the windshield of the snow built up while driving. Never had a car with this problem, of coruse it was also the first time we've ever experience this much wet heavy snow.
