It might help if you provided some details about the damage, what repairs need/have been done, and maybe some photos.

If there's absolutely nothing suggesting there's power then you need to check the 12v battery and the fuses first off. Also, there's a kind of emergency breaker on the battery pack that has to be reset...in the event of an accident the breaker switches and cuts power from the battery to avoid damage to rescuers and others...But that shouldn't prevent you from seeing dash lights, getting radio, etc...that's a 12v issue.

Found the problem, bad ground. Next question -- Do I have to take it to the dealer to have all of the codes cleared. It was a front end hit, had to take engine out to have frame straighten, new core support installed. Have pictures not sure how to post them?

You can have a dealer clear them or you can use and aftermarket OBDII reader...most of which have the option of clearing codes as well.

If you upload the pictures to a site like flickr.com or somewhere like that you can link to the url using the button on the message toolbar that looks like it has mountains in it...enter the url in the pop-up box and your photo will show up within the post. I honestly haven't checked to see if Danny has set up this site yet to allow uploading of photos directly to the site. But, you can try the Attach files option in the "additional options" box below the one you type your posts in...that should work.

I have heard that if you use the OBDII that it will mess up your ECM? What type or brand name of OBDII do you use?

? no way...Not sure who told you that but it's completely false. Using the Toyota Scantool it is possible to mess up the ECUs...even destroy them...if you don't do the programming sequences properly. But a simple OBD II and/or Can-reader won't cause any problems.

I've used a Dyno-scan the cable attaches to my PDA. And I have a CAN-View for my prius.

Scan-guage is another nice choice since it will read codes (I'm 99% sure of that) but then you can mount it and use it to track trip mileage, and monitor other CAN data (not hybrid specific though). There's currently a group buy at PriusChat going on where you can get one for $150...but I'm not sure when those will actually be shipped. Elsewhere you can buy them for ~$170.

The other choice is to just go to Pep Boys, they'll use their code reader and can tell you what they are, what they mean, etc....I don't know if they'll clear them for you or not.

Finally, there are a ton of other code readers out there for purchase of all flavors and styles...just search around for what you need.

OK so any OBDII scan tool will let me clear my codes? That's all I need to do at this time. Most of the codes are because of the crash. One is the air bag code, I have replaced the bags and clock spring and had the ECM reprogrammed. Is there a number I can reach you at or can you give me a call? Tony(765-426-3431) Thanks

Default Codes

It would only clear the engine code(p0031), but it came right back.

Found an old PriusOnline thread where that code refered to a bad inverter coolant pump....
http://priusonline.com/viewtopic.php...9e8fccbcea2024

Obviously that's a pretty critical component...do not run the vehicle b/c if that is bad you could fry your inverter and that'll be thousands to replace. Now there was a TSB on the Prius about this MIL stating:
"004 – 2005 model year Prius vehicles. 2006 model year Prius vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

Some customers with 2004 – 2006 model year Prius vehicles may experience a M.I.L. “ON” condition with DTC P0A93, information code 346 (Inverter Cooling System Performance). The HV coolant pump assembly has been improved to address this condition.

NOTE: BEFORE applying this TSB, confirm basic system operation per the Repair Manual. If NO other HV cooling system problems exist, proceed with TSB repair instructions. Do NOT replace the Inverter w/Converter assembly."

So, there could be something else related to the inverter cooling system...did you have to replace that fluid? I understand that can be tricky and if you've got air bubbles I have to wonder if that could be causing some MIL.
